Poem 257
Life as we known it
Has came and went
And much direction is happening
Along with lots of concealment
As the current circumstances
And disturbing predicament
Living within a thunder storm
That is well outside the norm
Looms daily and nightly
And steadily on the rise
Came as a shock and also with
A very troubling surprise
And the true nature and size
Of this situation
Is quite difficult to say
As fear and panic
Are constantly on display
But unfortunately
These very unsettling things
Are a huge and negative motivator
When it brings with it
Nothing more than control
Liberties lost and freedoms tossed
That many fought hard for
And I’m sure they’re turning over
In their graves
From all that is taking place
And what exactly will we
All think and say
When we’re in the future
And look back upon these days
And upon this time
As we fell in line
And just stood by
Watching this happen
And caving in around us
For this is sad indeed
And very hurtful in between
For a peaceful and immediate rescue
Is in dire and desperate
Want and need
As one would have to be blind and asleep
To agree with such horrible things
As much darkness is in play
Very exposed and seen
Happening all over the world
And among various degrees
As many would say
For this is truly of epic proportions
And many atrocities along with
High levels of corruption and greed
All while continuing to expect
Everyone to just simply bow down
But is this truly the way
We are going to fall down
Instead of standing up and demanding
A huge change of action
Along with uniting
Garner and gathering
Some strength and hope
Someway and somehow
For I could go on and on here
About all of this
But I believe my point has been made
Clear and also left
For too much is going wrong
And none of this is right
Too much darkness
Instead of light
As we must fight
For better days
And no matter what
The skin or race variety
For we are truly living within
The storm of society
